Founding families get our full attention from day one.
Your feedback shapes how Bloom develops. Your child gets a programme built around them, their pace, their strengths, what genuinely engages them not a one-size-fits-all curriculum
Full individual attention from day one
Your child is not one of hundreds. In a small group of 4 to 8 students, their teacher will know them — their strengths, their pace, and their potential — from the very first lesson.
Your voice shapes what Bloom becomes
Early families help us get it right. We actively seek feedback on lessons, scheduling, and progress reporting — and we act on it.
A programme designed for Prague children
Not a franchise. Not an adapted curriculum. Built from the ground up — by teachers who choose to be here, for children who deserve more than the average.
A community from the very beginning
The families who join Bloom first will know each other. That matters for children — and for parents navigating an international city together.
OUR MISSION
We believe that learning English is about more than vocabulary and grammar — it is about confidence, opportunity, and finding your voice. At Bloom English Academy, we are committed to providing exceptional teachers who inspire, encourage, and challenge every child to grow.
We are not interested in big promises. We are interested in whether your child looks forward to Tuesday's lesson, whether they put their hand up a little sooner than last month, and whether they go to bed a bit more sure of themselves than they were before.
Our mission is simple: every child leaves a Bloom lesson a little more willing to try.
OUR STORY
“Would I be happy if my own child was being taught this way?”
That question became the foundation of Bloom English Academy — and it is the one we still ask before every decision we make.
I never set out to build a career in education. It felt like fate that led me into teaching — and what I discovered along the way changed everything about how I think children should be taught: the same issues surfacing again and again, and the methods that actually solve them.
No commitment. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about your child.
WHAT EVERY BLOOM LESSON IS BUILT AROUND
This is what a Bloom lesson actually feels like.
Every one of these happens in every lesson. Not as a goal — as a design decision. Small groups make all of it possible.
Small Groups
Between 4 and 8 students — always. Every child seen, heard, and known individually.
Speaking Focused
Structured speaking time for the quiet ones as much as the loud ones — every lesson, no exceptions.
Grow Together
Children learn from each other as much as from their teacher — progress that is personal and shared.
Build Confidence
The goal of every lesson — not just understanding the words, but being willing to say them out loud.
Learn
Lessons supported by Oxford Reading Tree — graded readers matched to your child's level.
Explore
Curiosity is the engine. Topics, stories, and ideas that make children want to speak.
Connect
Children form real relationships — with the language, with each other, and with their teacher.
Progress
Clear, visible progress — weekly feedback, milestone rewards, and Oxford Reading Tree readers.
We choose with care.
Trusted by children.

Oxford Reading Tree — inspiring a love of reading for over 40 years
Every Bloom student takes home Oxford Reading Tree readers matched precisely to their level — graded so each child is gently stretched, never overwhelmed. From Floppy's Phonics and Essential Letters & Sounds (DfE validated) for early readers, to Word Sparks for vocabulary and Traditional Tales from around the world — each element precisely matched to your child's stage, and moving forward with them.
Every child known · every lesson
Every voice heard.
Every child known.
Every lesson — theirs.
At Bloom, no child is taught as part of a group. Each one is taught as an individual — known by their strengths, the way they learn, and where they still need support. Through weekly feedback notes and milestone rewards as they grow, we stay close to where each child actually is — and celebrate every step forward.
"We do not teach to the middle of the group. We teach to each child in it — which is only possible because the group is small enough to actually see each one."
Every voice heard. Every lesson.
Structured speaking time is built into every lesson — the loudest child and the quietest child get exactly the same amount of it. In a Bloom group, no one sits and waits to be picked. Every voice is expected, welcomed, and heard.
Small groups — always 4 to 8 students
Small groups are the foundation of everything Bloom does. Between 4 and 8 students, a teacher knows every child personally — their name, their pace, their potential. We guarantee both the minimum and the maximum. Not as a policy — as a promise.
Weekly feedback & milestone rewards
Weekly notes from your child's teacher after every lesson — plus milestone rewards when they reach a new stage. Progress you can see, week by week.
In most classes, some children speak. In a Bloom group, all of them do.
Because the group is small enough for a teacher to actually see every child — and to make sure every child is heard. Not just the confident ones. Not just the ones who raise their hand. Every child in the room.

QUESTIONS
Your questions, answered honestly.
-
Yes — and we mean it. Bloom groups run from 4 to 8 students, always. Above 8, quieter children start to disappear into the background. We will not place a ninth child into a group even when there is demand. The cap is absolute.
-
Absolutely. We start where your child is — not where we wish they were. All programmes welcome complete beginners. We start where your child is — and we move at a pace that builds genuine confidence, never at the expense of their comfort.
-
Every child speaks in every lesson. But never before they feel ready. Your teacher knows which question will give your child the confidence to answer first. No pressure — but no passive sitting either. Structured speaking time is built into every lesson, for every child. That combination is precisely what most children need to start believing in their own English.
-
Your child's teacher writes brief notes after every lesson — what went well, what to build on, what they noticed. When your child reaches a new milestone, they receive a reward that marks the moment. Progress you can see week by week, not just at the end of term.
-
Every Bloom teacher holds an internationally recognised teaching qualification — the same standard required by the British Council and Cambridge English schools. Not an online course. A rigorous, observed, independently assessed qualification. Every teacher must also meet the Bloom Certified standard — our own professional benchmark that goes beyond qualifications to assess how a teacher works with real children.
-
School English follows the curriculum. Bloom follows your child. Guaranteed small groups. A teacher who knows them individually. A methodology built on internationally recognised research — real confidence and communication first, always.
-
Private English tutors in Prague typically charge 600–900 CZK per hour for one child. At Bloom, 375 CZK gives your child a native, internationally certified teacher — plus a structured Oxford Reading Tree reading programme to take home, weekly feedback notes, milestone rewards, and a group small enough that their teacher knows them by name. It is not the cheapest option in Prague. But every crown goes toward the things that actually make a difference: who is teaching, how many children are in the room, and whether your child is known by name.
Ready to see what your child can do.
One free lesson. No commitment required. A native English teacher who will know your child's name, their pace, and their potential — by the end of that very first session.
